Complete car restorations are the backbone of AAE’s business. No more than two complete restorations are undertaken at one time. This approach enables steady progress with no down time while waiting upon suppliers and specialists.
All work is performed by me or experienced professionals for upholstery, machining, and component restoration consistent with my direction and requirements. Chrome plating is also contracted.
Each project is subjected to a comprehensive evaluation at the beginning. This mandatory evaluation is provided to ensure that the customer is aware of all pre-existing conditions that do not conform to factory specifications or like-new condition.
Once assembly is complete, comprehensive testing of every operable component and assembly is performed to ensure proper operation. The final step is thorough road-testing over a substantial number of miles to assure the customer that once possession of the restored vehicle is taken, the ensuing driving will be trouble-free.
Partial restorations are also done where the owner wants to do some of the work or where only one facet of the automobile needs attention. However, a partial restoration poses special complications. Areas not to be included require special care to protect. Sometimes, the partial restoration cannot be neatly defined and limited. Generally, a partial restoration is more expensive on a unit basis. However, it has the advantages of tailoring AAE’s work to the owner’s needs and available resources.
